The St. Alexius College Research and Publication Office (RPO) is a service unit that coordinates the research activities of the college. The office primarily provides the support environment for educational, social science, and scientific research projects and research skills development of both the faculty and students. Among the tasks of the RPO is to keep the faculty and students on track in meeting the Institutional Strategic Goals in terms of producing relevant and publishable research that is groundbreaking and useful to the community and to target stakeholders.

As SAC RPO endeavors to become a leading institution in advancing research insights from across disciplines that are applicable to the national and global context, the Research and Publication Office serves as the research arm in:
Intensifying faculty and student involvement in research through a strengthened awareness of the St. Alexius College's core areas of research through sponsorship of seminars and trainings;
Monitoring and coordinating the research activities on campus;
Forging objective assessment of scholarly researches that shall merit funding;
and Sustaining the culture of research in the college by continually disseminating pertinent research information to all concerned offices, faculty and students.
The overall purpose of this Research Agenda is to provide a framework for the governance and conduct of both basic and applied research, as well as, promote the positioning of research as a priority pursuit in St. Alexius College being a research institution.
The specific objectives are to enhance more research activities;
Create an enabling environment for the conduct of research;
Strengthen research management and coordination; Improve research culture and practice;
Mobilize and manage funds for quality research and innovations;
and Increase the returns for the conduct of research to achieve international researcher visibility and attract of both human and financial resources to St. Alexius College.

To enable excellence in research and innovation by: facilitating and enhancing partnerships and collaborations between researchers, government and industry providing infrastructure and training that promotes creativity and entrepreneurship ensuring our policies and programs advance a culture of innovation while ensuring ethical compliance fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
