St. Alexius College Students, this conversation is for you.

In observance of World Suicide Prevention Month 2026, the Psychology Department invites all St. Alexius College students to attend the Monthly Convocation centered on this year’s global campaign theme:

“𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚: 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣”

The theme is part of the World Health Organization’s 2024–2026 global campaign, which encourages communities to challenge the stigma, misconceptions, and harmful narratives surrounding suicide. It calls for open, compassionate, and meaningful conversations that create an environment where individuals feel safe to speak about their struggles, seek help, and support others.

For the St. Alexius College community, starting the conversation means fostering a culture of understanding, empathy, and support—one where listening without judgment, checking in on one another, and seeking professional help are recognized as important steps toward promoting mental well-being. All St. Alexius College students are encouraged to attend and take part in this important conversation.

Let us come together to promote understanding over silence, compassion over judgment, and connection over isolation.

Let us change the narrative. Let us start the conversation.
