Community Extension Programs
The St. Alexius College Medical Technology Program maintains active, year-round community extension activities, providing students with valuable practical experience through serving local communities. This involvement includes the regular conduct of essential diagnostic testing, such as fecalysis, urinalysis, and chemistry tests, in adopted communities, alongside actively participating in blood-letting activities in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross.
Clinical Internship Training Institutions
Clinical training is conducted at CHED-Accredited tertiary hospitals.
The program utilizes an ISO-Certified base hospital for foundational training.
Program Curriculum
The Medical Technology program at St. Alexius College is designed to produce graduates with a strong foundational understanding of essential aspects in the field of Medical Technology, which can also serve as a platform for advanced studies or careers in related fields such as clinical laboratory science, biomedical science, healthcare administration, biotechnology, and medical research.
This program offers a solid groundwork for students aspiring to pursue further studies in the medical domain. Upon acquiring specialized training, graduates of this program can explore career avenues within significant sectors of society, including healthcare professions (diagnostics and laboratory services), educational roles (teaching, medical research), business and governmental organizations (biomedical technology management, laboratory quality control), and community involvement within civil society.
St. Alexius College Medical Technology graduates possess the skills necessary to fulfill fundamental job requirements in areas like teaching, research, laboratory management, quality control, equipment operation, among others. They are also empowered to continually enhance their knowledge and skills to adapt to the evolving demands of the medical technology field.
