On May 20, 2017, during the Faculty/Staff General Assembly, Dr. Nanette Pingoy-Franco, FPARM, MSHSM, FPCHA, President – St. Alexius College, discussed the President’s thrust for SY 2017-2018 for the following directional areas: SAC’s well-defined identity, excellence in academics, expertise in research, leadership in community service, strength in human resources, upgraded physical plant and facilities, intensified public presence and highly integrated information technology in the SAC’s systems and programs.
To respond to these challenges, the President enjoined members of the Alexian community to seek new paradigm of operation to address with greater effectiveness and must take into account the issues, concerns and challenges for the attainment of the following objectives:

- Intensify the integral formation of professionally competent, creative, technically trained, productive and responsible personnel and students.
- Provide opportunities and resources for guidance of the personnel, students, alumni and other stakeholders, to “live out” the Vision, Mission, Goals (VMG) and Core Values of St. Alexius College in making a difference in the global community.
3. Integrate Values and Research into the curricular programs and activities to instill a sense of social mission among students and to stay in the cutting edge of higher education.
4.Develop a proactive approach to future needs by IT integration on instruction, service to students, and administrative services.
5.Strengthen industry – academe linkages for high employability and placement of graduates in appropriate jobs including partnership with Aviation, Health and Agriculture industries.
6.Operate on a relevant research agenda that will help improve instruction, school’s operation, and program implementation and evaluation.
7.Improve research capability and productivity of faculty and students to generate knowledge for educational advancement.
8.Strengthen the networking of SAC Grade School on Academics, as well as educational and cultural exchange.
9.Provide the Alexians with a deep sense of mission to “live out” the value of “alay kapwa” to transform the lives of the community beneficiaries by implementing community outreach programs.

The challenge for better St. Alexius College has taken the Alexian Community to the drawing boards time and again in an effort to improve SAC’s systems and procedures. Aim high, Alexians!
