On November 25, 2016 at the New City Hall of Koronadal City, South Cotabato, Ms. Rizzle Agsaulio, RPh, MSPharmacy©, SAC-Pharmacy Program Coordinator and selected Pharmacy students joined on National Consciousness Week Celebration on Counterfeit Drugs with the theme “Palawakin ang Kamalayan, Pekeng Gamot Pigilan.”
The aim of the se
minar is to uphold the knowledge of other people and pharmacists against counterfeit drugs. The said seminar was attended by a good number of Pharmacists from SOCSKSARGEN, selected students of St. Alexius College, partner agencies and stakeholders of Department of Health and Food and Drug Administration.
Rizzle Agsaulio,RPh, MS Pharmacy ©, SAC-Pharmacy Program Coordinator, was tasked to be the master of ceremonies. Reshyl Jean T. Morano, RPh, FDRO I of Region XII was the guest speaker. She expounded on the ill effects of counterfeit drugs in the wellbeing of people, and explained about the differences between original/branded drugs with the counterfeit drugs. She also distinguished the physical appearance of the counterfeit from the original drugs. Also, the St. Alexius College Pharmacy students performed a dance number to entertain the audience. An open forum was conducted with maximum audience participation.
The overall program turned out to be successful. Many inputs and basic knowledge were shared by the resource persons.
