The BS – Special Needs Education Program is structured to meet the need of professional teachers for elementary schools and special education programs in the Philippines.

The BS – Special Needs Education program aims to develop elementary school teachers who are either (a) generalists who can teach across the different learning areas in grade school, (b) special education teachers, or (c) pre-school teachers.

Also, the BS – Special Needs Education Program commits itself to character development and competence-building in order to develop teachers who can effectively teach minds, touch hearts and transform lives.

The program is designed specifically to facilitate the development of a student-teacher who:

• Understands and internalizes the basic principles of Education.;
• Manifest commitment to personal, professional, and spiritual growth;
• Has the ability to guide young people to lead good lives, learn essential concepts and acquire desirable abilities and attitudes needed in the development of our nation; and
• Demonstrates proficiency in all subject areas in the professional and major courses, especially SPED courses.
